Taking solid protest to the NDA government's reneging on its sense of duty regarding award Special Category Status (SCS) to Andhra Pradesh (A.P.), Congress VP Rahul Gandhi said here on Sunday Prime Minister Narendra Modi had duped the general population and that A.P. Boss Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had stayed silent in light of the fact that he was enthused about ensuring his own particular advantages.
"Both Naidu and Jagan Mohan Reddy are terrified of Mr. Modi, which is the motivation behind why they can't battle for SCS," he said.
Tending to an open meeting at the Andhra Muslim College grounds, Mr. Gandhi said SCS was the general population's privilege and the Central government couldn't deny it whatever be the limitations.
'Modi broke guarantee'
He reviewed that Mr. Modi said at a meeting in Tirupati in April 2014 that he would allow the Status for a long time however broke his guarantee by refering to a wide range of reasons.
"We have no dread of Mr. Modi and will battle in the interest of the general population of A.P. till the BJP respected its dedication," he attested.
Mr. Gandhi communicated certainty that his gathering would come to control in 2019 and said the main thing it would do is give the Status.
